420Roots Grow Guide

Whether you’re growing your first plant or your fiftieth, this guide is here to help. Our team of real growers put together the most important steps to maximize yields and avoid beginner mistakes – especially when growing autoflowers.

1. Choosing the Right Seeds

Start with high-quality, stable genetics. All seeds at 420Roots are feminized autoflowers – fast, compact, and easy to grow.

2. Germination Tips

• Soak seeds in water 12–24h
• Place between moist paper towels or in Root Riot cubes
• Keep warm (22–25°C) and in the dark until taproot appears

3. Soil & Pots

Use light, airy soil with perlite. Start directly in the final pot (11–15L fabric pot recommended). Avoid transplanting autos.

4. Light

Use full spectrum LED or sunlight. Autos need 18/6 or 20/4 light schedule from seed to harvest.

5. Feeding

Start light! Autoflowers are sensitive to overfeeding. Use half-strength nutrients first and increase gradually.

6. Training (LST)

Start LST at day 15–20. Gently bend and tie main stem to allow more light to side branches. Don’t top unless experienced.

7. Harvest

Check trichomes with a loupe. Milky/cloudy trichomes = peak potency. Amber = more sedative. Flush with water 10–14 days before harvest.
